@midishane That is a creative use idea! I haven’t experimented enough to tell you how smooth you can get the tracking to be– but it is possible, even if you turn off pitch correction.
Do we still need to buy Recycle if we want to make loops or edit loops or do I still need to buy Recycle ? Does Dr Rex do the same job of Recycle ? If I buy this Bundle (Record-Reason)
I love Reason… I just wish Record supported VST’s so then I could throw away my other programs.
@SONOCOM ReCycle remains the only way to create REX files. Dr. Octo Rex allows you to do super cool things with those files once you’ve created them. (And of course the new Reason 5 Factory Sound Bank comes with plenty of great new REX files that are already good to go.)

HOW DO YOU RECORD STRATE IN2 THE MIXER WITHOUT PRESSING THE SAMPLE BUTTON WHEN I DO IT WITHOUT IT JUST COMES UP RED WITHOUT ANY RECORDING WAVE ?
@supremeson100 If you have Record, then you just need to create an audio track and make sure that the audio input your guitar is plugged into is the input selected on your audio track.
@line6movies nah ive got a demo version of record and ive got a real version of reason 5 when i do the sample thing to record a verse it cuts the verse short thats why i wanna know how 2 do it so that when i press record and the red bar cums up it doesnt just dissapear and i can acctuly see my voice it worked once on the record demo but the never again now i can only do the live sampleing but thats really only for instraments im guessing nothing longer then like 8 bars ?? please please help
@supremeson100 The buffer size for sampled audio is 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the play head will start over again from the
beginning and start erasing any previously sampled audio.
For recording in the Record sequencer, unless you have «Loop» turned on to the right of the transport buttons, it should keep recording until you press «Stop.» Not sure what’s going wrong for you. I suggest in Record you click: Help > Record Help > Recording in the Sequencer.

i just bought record version 1 i think, it came with the ignition key, i tried to register it and it didnt let me because i havent registered my reason 5..it didnt come with a license number or registration code. also, since i have reason 5 and record 1, will it upgrade to 1.5 or does it matter??
