you arent using it properly. Seriously. I know how to get sounds out of it that far exceed a lot of professional stuff

One lead should take at least 4 tracks, panned equally, with adequate use of chorus to brighten the sound, and cross feeding delay. with two EQ units and compressor. Then youre getting close. This may seem a lot of work, but int eh long run this gives oyu very high definition and control sculpting of sounds. SOmehting cubase cannot provide.

  2. Cistane:

trust me ive hit the limits of reason as far as making sounds goes… and its certainly limited. if you want to hear my tracks go to myspace dot com slash bondmusic

  3. Cistane:

also, just have a saw wave with the subtractor… and compare it with a saw wave from for example, the Minimonsta VST. you should hear a clear difference, if u dont… then youre deaf.

  4. serfox1:

One is analogue one is digital. If you want a pure saw in Reason, one subtractor in mono won’t do the job, since analogue stereo’s the frequency by law of synthesis, it goe sout as many channels as defined, you set up two and pan. Pure saw wave.

  5. Cistane:

no i tried that before and it still sounds relatively weak

  6. Tranzphonic:

is reason the best music tool in the world…no, but will a $5 hammer pound nails as good as a $50 one…probably. reason is a tool and if used correctly it can sound about as good as any hardware/software out there. besides some of us cant afford racks of gear/ $100′s of software. that doesn’t mean we can’t make good music

  7. HumilityRhone:

Hi, I have some Vst that were’nt part of the ones that were offered with reasons that make the tracks sound really good. Get at me if you want to try them out.

  8. akorhsel:

does Yamaha Psr e403 works with reason and if it does how can I program the keyboard so reason can recognize it?

I would aprecciate your help :)

  9. HandsomeTas:

I have a pack of samples for sale. 15gb of samples and I’ll include a copy of reason 3.0 and recycle 2.1 and a reason video tutorial cd. Email me if anyone is interested

  10. SyStmz:

if reason recognises the usb-midi driver for the PSR (it can be found on the yamaha website) you can easily use it.

then you can try the auto-detect function inside reason (edit->preferences->keyb&contr)
or «add» a new item and select «other» in the manufacturer entry and look for the midi driver in the midi-input list.

  11. cnwpl:

where do u get propellerhead reason

  12. Skyfaller2007:

Yes, it can interface with the keyboard. I have the same keyboard. Didn’t you get a cd with your keyboard for a USB connection to your computer?

  13. akorhsel:

yes but… I lost it xD anyway I’ve been working with reason this last 4 months and I love it :D

  14. RealMusicGenius:

  15. Himanshu53:

  16. ejrice4:

i have a Korg R3… can i connect to reason via USB to USB? i don’t have a specific MIDI cable, but it seems like it should be possible with USB, it being the 21st century and all…

  17. NaPzt3R:

Don’t torrent it. It’s worth buying.

  18. SamAndrew27:
