O hell yeah. That was sick!!! Yo I really appreciate these videos. You bringing me out the dark in here. Let me know what I can do to support.
@jblairbiz Thanks – as long as people keep subscribing – that is all I need. Your remix is slammin’ by the way.
Holding shift while moving the nodes on automations to keep it from moving, I didn’t know that one.
@KYLEZ0R09 Yeah that can be helpful. Also, I didn’t cover this because it is a beta feature, but you can right click and copy a point value and paste it to another point. Even on another automation clip. That is good for continuing an automation from where another automation clip ended.
@ste1438 Oh so that’s why I don’t know about it. It annoys me staring at the top left keeping track or trying to get the original % back. I have 9.7 n I’ll be sure to use that.
Thanks for the new video. I always learn so much. My bass lines will be much enhanced in the future.
Is there a fast way to move a node on your automation clip to the middle?
Or even copy the height of one node and make a new one with the same height?
can u do a video mastering….if already have which vid is it?? thnx
@StardarkMusic No Mastering tutorials. Most home recording artists have a serious misconception about what mastering really is. There is no possible way to cover mastering in one tutorial by the way. It is extremely scientific and it takes years to learn. It is a fine art in itself. Studio quality Mastering requires the right equipment, environment, and training that most home users do not have access to. If you want a truly mastered track take it to a studio professional.
@ste1438 Also want to mention that most tutorials that claim to be tutorials about «Mastering» – are just production tips to get to a final mixdown. The real mastering process is very scientific and analytical. They call them «Mastering» tutorials because they know beginner artists naively search for mastering guides. The creators are well aware that the tutorials don’t really have much to do with real studio mastering though.
@toxxicpit Yes – copy node was added to the latest 9.7 beta. I do think make unique now applies to Automation clips too, but I’ll have to double check that. If someone can confirm that, I would appreciate it. I haven’t gotten to test all the new features yet.
i just want your skin(on piano roll) plz
are you NFX?????
funny how i decided ‘o i’ll just upgrade to fl9 before watching ste’s new vid’…..1 min into ste’s new vid…how to get 50% off fl studio!!!!!!
@ste1438, is there a difference in the quality of the programs FL and Reason? What are the difference, what are the benefits of each (I know FL supports VSTi)? Why do so many people prefer Reason? Personally, I find the interface of FL much more intuitive, the piano roll is better managable.
Interesting tutorial.
THanks
@ste1438 Hey thanks for the response! Release time and peak controller. Yes, I was half-thinking on trying a peak controller because of the fact that Ive used it from a reference to one of your earlier videos. I believe it gave me a good effect with a kick I was using and a synth in sytrus! I’ll just have to figure out what channels to link the peak controller to besides the Fry preset I was using in Sytrus.
You are a lifesaver! I never thought of holding shift to keep the automation clips from moving up and down. I went through so much crap just to make sure that it didnt go up and down AND NOW i finally know. Thanks SO MUCH you have the best tutorials on all of FL studio. Now i just gotta find your tutorial (if you have one) that talks about compression. Im having trouble making instruments sound closer or farther away to the mic in my orchestral piece. panning is fine though.
very informative video thanks, its very appreciated some of us r grateful for teachers like u
watch?v=CNdPi-M4Dtg
great video but Im having a problem, no matter what value i set the pitch knob range to and make an automation clip its always going to the highest and lowest possible notes as if i set the pitch range on the max. i then look at the channel setting for the automation and find the min and max knobs at their extremes, yours are automatically set (6:07 in ur video). any ideas on how to fix? much appreciated
Thumbs up for using Opera!
@ste1438 I think it would be worthwhile to just make an annotation in the video about the mistake instead of letting people figure out you made a mistake, this could confuse people.
That’s not really a beneficial self schooling technique, that they have to realize you made a mistake.
A mistake is not a problem at all, especially if there is an annotation along with it, so people can see the pitfalls and the solution instead of having the extra option that their teacher made a mistake.
@Rotemetoot Is the annotation still there?
@Rotemetoot There is an annotation and an apology – The annotation explains the fix too – maybe you did not see it?
