    What is the other controller in the video, the one closer to you?

  2. b1ackraven:

    @AlejandroBjorg KORG nanoCONTROL

  3. cliffemu:

    I wish he would actually explain what he’s doing… looks like he’s just launching clips…. big deal…

  4. kszolu:

    @cliffemu right, i’m tired of people who thinks that they are playing live just using sampled sequences.

    playing live rely on looping notes and CC messages what you actually play not launching clips.

  5. cliffemu:

    @kszolu I’m just trying to see why this product is so good for him. Look at videos of Hawtin and he actually explains what his controllers do. Seems odd for Ableton to be plugging this video when it really has no content…

  6. hilato:

    @EvilBunniexxx you definitely got that right the APC 40 is good but lacks one thing its not bus powered, wish they did put bus power, Novation launchpad is a win on that plus if you have an oxygen 8 you could get the benefit of what the APC 40 is. But then again you have to carry two devices. But I definitely Like both the APC 40 and the launch pad.

  7. hilato:

    @kszolu well sample sequence of things you produce in midi, I mean I produce all my tracks and never use sample loops like many others do, produce my tracks writing midi notes, and once my track is done then I render 4 bar loops and use that to perform live set, but I still have my original track in midi.

  8. kszolu:

    @hilato i understand that you made those sequences but try to loop that live – it isn’t complicated and additionally you have record quantization.
    If you are looping sequences live you have infinite combinations and you can play as long as you want. In my opinion launching clips that you already made:
    1. it isn’t playing live (because it’s very close to playing a mixdown)
    2. your set is limited to that what is recorded in the project.

  9. hilato:

    @kszolu Yes and no, on your 1 response, sometimes I take a an old bassline patter I did a while back and put in a live set that I am performing or even come up with new bassline while some drum pattern I created, sometimes with my midi keyboard I play some notes and like how its going to come out with an old project I have a mix it up and people do notice that I have an old song remix at the moment on stage with an old song and they ask me thats a new song, I respond no I just did it on the spot

  10. minimalista242:

    good… the master is red.

  11. minimalista242:

    @kszolu

    I use Ableton to produce and play my songs.
    I cut ‘em in loops and I launch them in scenes or in separated clips.
    So I can play them like the natural songs or combine them together.

  12. AllKapucino:

    he use launchpad, korg nanokontrol and iphone like XY controller
    to mach mobile combination
